Practical information

How to come to the start place:

  • From Bratislava centre use tram nr. 4 or 5 to the stop Alexyho (approximately 30 minutes)
  • From the bus stop SAV nearby the main railway station use bus 83, approximately 20 minutes to the stop: Alexyho
  • From the railway station Lamač by foot (10 minutes)

Safety:

  • Participants are expected to take into consideration their physical cand mental capability for taking part in this event type and make sure they have no injuries or other health problems, which could cause complications during the event.
  • This is mainly a meeting of friends, opportunity to try a long distance event or make a good workout for another vents. It's not a race primary. However, please do not diseteem the safety (especially during the night part)
  • At the "live" checkpoints there will be medical kits with equipment for minor injuries treatment. In case of serious healt difficulties please call the 112 emergency number.

Recommended equipment:

  • Tourist map of Small Carpathians (Bratislava part) or GPS
  • Trekking poles
  • Spare batteries for forehead lamp
  • Streak reflective vest/streak reflex for the night part
  • Bicycle blinker (we recommend to clip on you bag's back at night)
  • Reserve clothes (especially socks|
  • Elastic bandage
  • Plasters
  • At least 1.5 L water at start place
  • Cash (EUR)

Baggage transport:

  • There is a possibility of baggage transport from start place to finish place (the baggage must be marked with the name and surname of the owner). Please, only minimal necessary amount (spare clothes, shoes, eventually sleeping bag and groundsheet). The baggage will be collected at the parking place, not in DK Dúbravka house of culture during the check-in.

Refreshments:

  • The start fee is optional, so please take also some own food with you. At the "live" checkpoints and finish place there will be refreshment available for the PUT participants. There are also lot of possibilities where to get further refreshment during the trail (see below).

Restaurants pubs, buffets, groceries etc.:

  • In case of missing breakfast you can make a quick stop at Lidl supermaket, which is right at the start place (open at 07.00).
  • Mlynská dolina offers a lot of possibilities - (see the information HERE). There is also a Billa supermaket at Galéria Cubicon (open at 09.00).
  • Libresso in Horský park - a friendly cafe offering beverages, cakes etc.
  • Buffets at Kamzík are offering beverages and food
  • Marianka - there are several possibilities here: Restaurant Pútnicky mlyn, U zeleného stromu (pub and restaurant), koliba U Johana (a small pub with low prices) and others.
  • Rača - if you will follow the blue tourist mark approx. 500 m after the amphitheatre, you will come to pub U zajacov with offering of meals and beverages.
  • Stupava - nearby the square there are several restaurants and pubs. Pizzeria/kebab U Samira is open until 22:00 on Saturday, Šenk mlyn (checkpoint place) offers also meal.
  • Košarisko - there is a tourist/tramp/country pub Zapadnutý kút HERE with offering of beverages and some meals too, the opening hours are very variable.
  • If you will have luck, the Včelín buffet at Biely kríž will be open too :-)

  • After the house number 104 turn right:

  • After approx. 100 m you will see the building of KS Rača:

  • Go to the front side and then you are in finish :-)

  • The room will be open starting with afternoon (closer information at start place) and open during night, so the participants outside of Bratislava or Slovakia can wait here for the morning public transport.
  • Unfortunately there is no shower here (frequesnt question), but of course there are lavers.

Afterparty or Why not to run home:

  • PUT is the last 100 km event in Slovakia in 2016, there will be a small gathering at the finish place with refreshments and some beer, mountain movies, music etc.
